Avoid toast for breakfast say French scientists. They have found that eating a carbohydrate-loaded breakfast can negatively affect individuals’ facial attractiveness within hours.
The study enlisted 104 volunteers who were given either a high- or low-carb breakfast. The research indicates that, after two hours, individuals that consumed a high-carb meal were rated as less facially attractive, with long-term high-carb consumption linked to overall lower attractiveness ratings. However, the results varied by sex and meal timing, underscoring the complexity of diet’s impact on attractiveness.
