One in five young people take time off for mental health issues

A study by the Prince’s Trust has revealed that one in five young people aged 16 to 25 are taking time off from school or work due to poor mental health. This alarming statistic comes as Britain is experiencing a surge in long-term sickness, with a record high of 2.6 million people out of work for health reasons. The research also found that nearly one-fifth of young people in this age group have been prevented from applying for a job due to mental health problems.
