The term “long Covid” should be discarded, according to health experts in Queensland, Australia. They argue that the ongoing symptoms some people experience after contracting Covid-19 are not unique and align with post-viral syndrome generally seen after any virus. A study from Queensland’s public health department found no evidence that Covid-positive adults were more likely to have symptoms a year after diagnosis than those who tested negative.
